Inlays and Onlays

Dental inlays and onlays are used to fix teeth that have mild to moderate damage. From the perspective of PM KJB Dental Lab, there is no difference in how inlays and onlays are made or the factors to consider during production. The only difference is the amount of tooth surface they cover.

Using dental inlays and onlays helps your clinic’s patients keep more of their natural tooth structure. These restorations are strong, long-lasting, and provide excellent protection to prevent further damage to the teeth.

Custom Dental Inlays and Onlays Cases

Since 2012, PM KJB Dental Lab has been assisting dental clinics in creating custom inlays and onlays. With years of experience, we specialize in crafting high-quality restorations that meet the needs of your patients and ensure their satisfaction.

Design and Milling

For digital cases, once PM KJB Dental Lab receives your digital impressions for inlays and onlays, our digital designers will use CAD software to create the tooth shape and other details. Once the design is finished, it is sent to the milling machine. The material you chose is added, and the milling process starts.

Polishing and Sintering

After the inlays and onlays are milled into shape, our skilled technicians carefully polish and refine them to ensure they fit perfectly. Once this is done, the pieces are placed into the porcelain furnace for the first round of sintering. At PM KJB Dental Lab, we take pride in delivering high-quality results at every step of the process.

Glazing and Try-in

Once the sintering process is finished, the technicians will apply a glazing layer to the inlays and onlays. This step includes carefully matching the color multiple times to ensure accuracy. After glazing, the pieces will go through a second round of sintering to improve their shine and overall look. The final products will then be sent to PM KJB Dental Lab for further processing or delivery.
